Former NCAA Division II wrestling champion Cody Law is wasting no time booking his next fight after making his professional debut in October.
At Bellator 254 on Dec. 10, Law will face off with another undefeated up and comer in Kenny Champion in a featherweight bout as part of the prelim broadcast. Bellator officials confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Monday.
Law signed with Bellator following an extensive amateur career where he racked up five straight wins before picking up a submission victory in his professional debut. On that night at Bellator 250, Law made quick work of Orlando Ortega with a first-round D’arce choke to get the win.
In recent months, Law has called Florida home after he began training at American Top Team after helping Jorge Masvidal prepare for his fight against Kamaru Usman earlier this year.
Now, he’ll make his return in December with Law joining the card headlined by Bellator flyweight champion Ilima-Lei MacFarlane defending her title against Juliana Velasquez.
As for Champion, he’ll take on Law after picking up a pair of knockout wins to start his pro career while competing under the Premier FC banner.
